Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
